Yang mana satu.....(1)

terngiang ngiang lagu...

Maka stroller tu duduk dlm stor aje.

Idea nak stroller ni dtg dr cik suami yg selalu menjadi "mangsa" anak...anak2 slalu mengharapkan suami dukung dorang. so bila adik nak berdukung, kakak pon nak berdukung juga....terutama kalau dah jalan jauh sket...mulalah kakak lembikkan kaki dia...takmau berjalan....suruh abah dukung....lenguh bahu lah...saya biasanya amek dukung adik sbb dia kecik dan ringan...kakak bagi abah dia dukung.

3. Harga berpatutan (bajet kami < RM 1000)
4. Tahan lama - boleh pakai dr newborn sampai 4 thun...which also means seat boleh recline and boleh sustain berat up to 16 kg - 20 kg
5. Front/ rear facing - possible nak yg boleh reversible handle

Langkah kedua....
survey website rasmi stroller/ website kedai baby/ review dalam blog2 orang (menggunakan kata kekunci "stroller muat myvi")

9. http://www.halfords.com/
10. http://www.babyzen.com/

Langkah ketiga.....
pergi tengok sendiri kat kedai...tengok rupa stroller tu, cara fungsi dia, dan yang paling penting HARGA...

1. Jusco ( ada Sweet Cherry je) - ada buggy SC, ada model2 seperti SCR 6, SCR 7, SCR 8, SCR 9, SCR 10, SCR 11, SCR 12....

2. kedai Twin baby -
dekat kedai ni, dia ada satu floor (tingkat 3) penuh ngan stroller je. Masa kami pergi tu, dia belum officially bukak floor tu. Tingkat tu gelap lagi, masa kami smpai baru dia bukak lampu.

Kami takut tertipu terkena produk2 China yang tak brapa bagus..haha....bertambah lahhhhh lagi rasa cikai bila dapat tau nama jenama biasa2 je (pada masa tu)  tapi harga mahal mai aiii......tapi akhirnya barulah kami tau stroller2 tu dr Jepun/ Korea dan sangat famous dan branded...haha...

3. Kedai Fabulous Mom -
ada Quinny zap extra 2, Halford Zuss 4/ S8 Pramette, Baby jogger, Perenno, EasyWalker - minibuggy stroller (minicooper), maxicosi travel system, carseat ada brand littlebean, coopers, halford

4. Axeana -
kat Mahkota Cheras, kedainyer kecik aje tapi dia jual byk brand..hampir sume ada kat dia....tanya je dia...Combi, Maclaren, Baby jogger, Quinny, Halford, Bumbleride, Clek, Buggypod, Combi, Maxicosi travel system, SweetCherry, Firstyear, Aldo, Mydear, Graco, Cybex, Aprica, Baby Zen, Hauck, Viva, Obaby, Seebaby, Capella, Easywalker (mini cooper), car seat  - ada Recaro, Sparco, Little Bean etc...harga stroller dia rata2 murah sedikit berbanding harga pasaran lain.

5. Mothercare -
Bugaboo, Halford, Maclaren, Stokke, Mothercare, Silver Cross (one of the model of Silver Cross tu adalah the only model yang claimed boleh sustain berat sehingga 20 kg, brand/ model stroller lain hanya claimed up to 16kg)

1. Sweet cherry - SCR 6/ SCR 12
2. Quinny Zapp/ Quinny Zapp Xtra/ Quinny Zap Xtra 2.0/ Quinny Buzz
3. Easywalker minibuggy (mini cooper)
4. Combi - Well Comfort/ Spazio/ Miracle Turn
5. Halford Zuzz 4/ S8 Pramette
6. Babyzen yoyo
7. Maclaren Quest/ Techno XT

Sambalnya sedap, pedas tapi tak menyengit..beerti tak pijarlah mulut tu makan...pedasnya terasa tapi tak lama....

ni susunan pelbagai jenis sambal dia

berjenis jenis sambal bersama ulam

Kalau datang masa time kemuncak, memang penuh. Tapi haritu kami pergi dalam lingkunagn 3.30-400 pm jadi restorannya lapang. Kami duduk di tmpt pangkin...satu2nya family yg duduk kat situ....jadi anak2 seronok berlari2 kat atas pangkin dia.

Kami makan Mee Yamin (mee campur kicap khas dengan sup bakso), Nasi timpel komplit ( ada ayam bakar, nasi, tempe, sambal cibiuk, sayur kuah  putih), nasi goreng biasa (nasi goreng, keropok sayur, sate beberapa batang)....air sirap limau dia sangat sedap sebab rasa dia lain dr yg lain...

Nasi timpel komplit

Harga....sederhana...masih dalam lingkungan berpatutan. Lingkungan harga RM 9.50 - RM 14.50.

Eye patch tutorial (for occlusion therapy)
My daughter is the unfortunate owner of very poor eyesight (her prescription is a +5 on the right and a +6 on the left) and also a squint, both are corrected by wearing glasses, which she has done, with very little complaining, since the age of 18 months old (proud Mummy moment!). In addition to all this, we are exercising her weaker eye (the left one), with 2 hours of patching a day. The sticky patches the hospital gave us were, to be honest, useless, and kept peeling off, but why use something like that, when Mum can make one of these... a cute, pink eye patch, out of felt.

I decided to post this as a full tutorial, so many craft bloggers have children, I figured there will be others out there who may find this useful.

You will need - light pink felt, dark pink felt, yellow felt, black felt, a button, embroidery thread, pins, a needle, and a pair of scissors, and of course, ...some glasses!

Print out the templates so that the basic eye patch shape is roughly 7 x 10 cm, and the flower is 5 cm wide.

Cut the patch template, making the 3 slits as indicated. Fold the end over, as below, and sew down both seems (I have done this on the machine, but you could stitch it by hand), trim off the excess felt.

Pin together the 2 edges of the center slit, trapping the folded over arm holder loop in between, and sew.

Trim off any excess felt from this inner seam and turn the patch the right way round. Try it on the glasses for size, and also trim the outside edges if needed (probably a good idea at this stage to get the person who will be wearing the patch to try it on to check the fit)

Pin the lense sleeve into position,

and sew on with random straight stitches along both the top and the bottom edges, leaving both side open for the glasses frame to slip through.

Repeat the basic patch shape in black felt, remember to sew it the reverse way round this time, as the 2 need to fit together with all seams on the inside. Place the black inner patch, and the outer patch together and trim any excess off the black so they both match and blanket stitch both pieces together, all the way round the edge.

Attach the flower decoration using the button by sewing onto the lense sleeve, be careful not to sew it on through the whole patch, and just to the sleeve, other wise it will block the gap the glasses frame is to slip through . Place the patch on the glasses, and using some sharp scissors, poke a small hole through the whole patch, for the nose pad to slot through.

The patch can be used on either the left or the right side of the glasses simply by turning it upside down, Lucy's goes on the right, covering up her good eye, so she is forced to use her left one. This is the girly version, you could easily make a boy's version by using red and blue felt, and decorate it with a star sheriff's badge, or a bug shape.

No doubt, in the future, I will be making more of these as Luke also has a slight squint, and it's best to catch these things early, that's when patching has the most effect.

If you make something from one of my tutorials please do join the Flickr group, Lucykate Crafts... pattern pieces, to show off your creations.

eyepatch therapy untuk my girl

Disebabkan anak saya ada "lazy eyes", maka kami disarankan membuat eyepatch therapy untuk anak. Jadi eyepatch ni banyak jenis...terpulanglah nak pakai style macam mana.

1. Pirate eyepatch

2. Opticlude eyepatch (macam handiplast tapi khas utk mata)

3. DIY eyepatch

So inilah hasil buatan ibu sendiri....

Ni serba sedikit maklumat tentang eyepatch therapy. ......

When should patching be used for amblyopia treatment?

Patching should only be done if an ophthalmologist recommends it. An ophthalmologist should regularly check how the patch is affecting the child’s vision. Although it can be hard to do, patching usually works very well if started early enough and if the parents and child follow the patching instructions carefully. It is important to patch the dominant eye to allow the weak eye to get stronger. [See figure 2]

Are there different types of patches?

The classic patch is an adhesive "Band-Aid" which is applied directly to the skin around the eye [See figure 3]. They are  available in different sizes for younger and older children. For children wearing glasses, both cloth and semi-transparent stickers (Bangerter foils) may be placed over or onto the spectacles. "Pirate" patches on elastic bands are especially prone to "peeking" and are therefore only occasionally appropriate.

Is there an alternative to patching to treat amblyopia?

Sometimes the stronger (good) eye can be “penalized” or blurred to help the weaker eye get stronger. Blurring the vision in the good eye with drops will penalize the good eye [See figure 4]. This forces the child to use the weaker eye. Ophthalmologists use this treatment instead of patching when the amblyopia is not very bad or when a child is unable to wear the patch as recommended. For mild to  moderate degrees of amblyopia, studies have shown that patching or eyedrops may be similarly effective. Your pediatric ophthalmologist will help you select what treatment regimen is best for your child.

Do drops work for all amblyopic children?

Not all children benefit from eye drop treatment for amblyopia. Penalizing eye drops (such as atropine) do not work as well when the stronger eye is nearsighted.

How many hours per day patching is enough when treating amblyopia?

The mainstay of treating amblyopia is patching of the dominant (good) eye, either full or part-time during waking hours. Although classic teaching suggests that the more hours per day patching is performed, the greater the result, recent studies suggest that shorter periods may achieve similar results as longer amounts of patching in patients with moderate amounts of amblyopia.

How long does amblyopia patching therapy take to work?

Although vision improvement frequently occurs within weeks of beginning patching treatment, optimal results often take many months. Once vision has been improved, part-time (maintenance) patching or periodic use of atropine eyedrops may be required to keep the vision from slipping or deteriorating. This maintenance treatment may be advisable for several months to years.

During which activities should patching be performed?

The particular activity is not terribly important, compared to the need to keep the patch on during the allotted time. As long as the child is conscious and has his or her eyes open, visual input will be processed by the amblyopic eye. On the other hand, the child may be more cooperative or more open to bargaining if patching is performed during certain, desirable activities (such as watching a preferred television program or video). Some eye doctors believe that the performance of near activities (reading, coloring, hand-held computer games) during treatment may be more stimulating to the brain and produce better or more rapid recovery of vision.

Should patching be performed during school hours?

In many instances, school is an excellent time to patch, taking advantage of a nonparental authority figure. Patching during school hours gives the class an opportunity to learn valuable lessons about accepting differences between children. While in most instances, children may not need to modify their school activities while patching, sometimes adjustments such as sitting in the front row of the classroom will be necessary. If the patient, teacher, and classmates are educated appropriately, school patching need not be a socially stigmatizing experience. On the other hand, frequently a parental or other family figure may be more vigilant in monitoring patching than is possible in the school setting. Parents should be flexible in choosing when to schedule patching.

What if my child refuses to wear the patch?

Many children will resist wearing a patch at first. Successful patching may require persistence and plenty of encouragement from family members, neighbors, teachers, etc. Children will often throw a temper-tantrum, but then they eventually learn not to remove the patch. Another way to help is to provide a reward to the child for keeping the patch on for the prescribed time period.

Rawatan buat mata malas

Aritu dah cite pasal bawa anak saya berjumpa doktor pakar mata, kali ni nak cerita pasal rawatan utk lazy eyes....

http://www.aapos.org/terms/conditions/21

Will glasses help a child with amblyopia to see better?

Maybe, but they may not correct it all the way to 20/20. With amblyopia, the brain is “used to” seeing a blurry image and it cannot interpret the clear image that the glasses produce. With time, however, the brain may “re-learn” how to see and the vision may increase. Remember, glasses alone do not increase the vision all the way to 20/20, as the brain is used to seeing blurry with that eye. For that reason, the normal eye is treated (with patching or eyedrops) to make the amblyopic (weak) eye stronger.

What can be done if my child has equal high amounts of farsightedness and/or astigmatism and is diagnosed with bilateral amblyopia?

Bilateral amblyopia is usually treated with consistent, early glasses, and or contact lenses with follow-up over a long period of time. If asymmetric amblyopia (one eye better than the other) occurs, then patching or eye drops may be added.

When should amblyopia be treated?

Early treatment is always best. If necessary, children with refractive errors (nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism) can wear glasses or contact lenses when they are as young as one week old. Children with cataracts or other “amblyogenic” conditions are usually treated promptly in order to minimize the development of amblyopia.

How old is TOO old for amblyopia treatment?

A recent National Institutes of Health (NIH) study confirmed that SOME improvement in vision can be attained with amblyopia therapy initiated in younger teenagers (through age 14 years). Better treatment success is achieved when treatment starts early, however.

How can I get early treatment for amblyopia?

Some forms of amblyopia, such as that associated with large-deviation strabismus, may be easily detected by parents. Other types of amblyopia (from high refractive error) might cause a child to move very close to objects or squint his or her eyes. Still other forms of amblyopia may NOT be obvious to parents and therefore must be detected by Vision Screening.

How is amblyopia treated?

One of the most important treatments of amblyopia is correcting the refractive error with consistent use of glasses and/or contact lenses. Other mainstays of amblyopia treatment are to enable as clear an image as possible (for example, by removing a cataract), and forcing the child to use the nondominant eye (via patching or eyedrops to blur the better-seeing eye).

Can surgery be performed to treat amblyopia?

Surgery on the eye muscles is a treatment for strabismus - it can straighten misaligned eyes. By itself, however, surgery does not usually or completely help the amblyopia. Surgery to make the eyes straight can only help enable the eyes to work together as a team. Children with strabismic amblyopia still need close monitoring and treatment for the amblyopia, and this treatment is usually performed before strabismus surgery is considered.
Children who are born with cataracts may need surgery to take out the cataracts. After surgery, the child will usually need vision correction with glasses or contact lenses and patching.

What are appropriate goals of amblyopia treatment?

|In all cases, the goal is the best possible vision in each eye. While not every child can be improved to 20/20, most can obtain a substantial improvement in vision. Although there are exceptions, patching does not usually work as well in children who are older than 9 years of age.

What happens if amblyopia treatment does not work?

In some cases, treatment for amblyopia may not succeed in substantially improving vision. It is hard to decide to stop treatment, but sometimes it is best for both the child and the family. Children who have amblyopia in one eye and good vision only in their other eye can wear safety glasses and sports goggles to protect the normal eye from injury. As long as the good eye stays healthy, these children function normally in most aspects of society
